Changing the device token

If you reconfigure the Agent with a token for a different device, you will need to reset its local database before starting the Agent with the new token.

Error: "conflicting local device identity"

This error occurs when the Agent's local database contains an identity that doesn't match the device token you started it with. This safeguard prevents accidental misconfiguration.

If you intentionally changed the device token, reset the database and restart the Agent.

Error: "terminating due to invalid agent epoch"

Each device can have at most one Agent running at a time. This error typically means another Agent instance is running with the same device identity. It also could occur after using the "Delete unimported recordings" button from the device detail page in the UI.

To resolve this problem, stop any duplicate Agent instances. Then, reset the database of the Agent and restart it.

Device is unrecoverable

If the device is in an unrecoverable state, you may wish to remove the unimported recordings from the UI without deleting the device. Navigate to the device detail page, and select "Delete unimported recordings".
