Release feeds
The changelog publishes release information in machine-readable formats, so scripts and tools can check for new releases without scraping the changelog pages.
Latest releases
https://docs.foxglove.dev/changelog/latest.json lists the newest release of each product:
{
"products": {
"foxglove": {
"version": "3.4.2",
"date": "2026-10-21T18:49:00.000Z",
"title": "Foxglove 3.4.2",
"url": "https://docs.foxglove.dev/changelog/foxglove/v3.4.2"
},
"foxlet": {
"version": "1.7.1",
"date": "2026-10-21T00:00:00.000Z",
"title": "Foxlet v1.7.1",
"url": "https://docs.foxglove.dev/changelog/foxlet/v1.7.1"
}
}
}
Each key in products is one of:
| Key | Product |
|---|---|
foxglove | Foxglove desktop app |
primary-site | Primary Site Helm chart |
edge-site | Edge Site Helm chart |
remote-data-loader | Remote Data Loader Helm chart |
foxlet | Foxlet |
sdk | Foxglove SDK |
Each release has these fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
version | Semantic version, without a leading v |
date | Release date as an ISO 8601 timestamp |
title | Title of the changelog entry |
url | Link to the changelog entry, which includes any download links |
The latest release is the highest semantic version, so a patch to an older release line doesn't replace a newer release. The file allows cross-origin requests, so web pages on other domains can fetch it.
For example, to print the latest Foxlet version:
curl -s https://docs.foxglove.dev/changelog/latest.json | jq -r '.products.foxlet.version'
